This course examines theories and research on positive aspects of human behavior from multiple perspectives within scientific psychology. Topics include happiness, well-being and optimism, as well as the factors that influence them. The course will contrast scientific versus other approaches, and will emphasize how the study of positive aspects of human behavior can contribute to the field of psychology and to the betterment of our lives. Prerequisites: PSY 201; and either PSY 322 or PSY 350.
