An introduction to the major works of medieval Spain from the earliest vernacular works to the fifteenth century. Also provides an introduction to Old Spanish, paleography, and codicology. Taught completely in Spanish. Readings include selections from Poema del mio Cid, Galician-Portuguese lyric, Libro del cauallero de dios, Libro de buen amor, El conde Lucanor, and Amadis de Gaula. Prerequisite: 300 or 310.
