Through close reading of texts, as well as viewing of one or more films, focuses on the manner in which literary discourse approaches some of the most important concerns of our century, including issues of gender, class, and ethnicity. Topics may vary. Meets humanities, literature, area studies, and secondary education requirements; does not count for majors or minor in Spanish.
