CLASS HOURS: 3, CREDIT: 3 Prerequisites: CHE 100, CHE 100L This course examines the role that water plays in both production and power plant processes. Emphases within the course focus on the nature of liquid mixtures, including equilibrium concepts as they relate to solution chemistry, sources and types of organic and inorganic water contamination, the quantification of water contamination and the pre-treatment and post-treatment of water utilized in plant processes.
