CREDIT: 2-3 Prerequisites: Junior Class Standing, with the permission of Department Chair, MGT 100 or MGT 105 Students may apply to complete an industry internship. Each assignment depends on each student's specialty or special area of interest. The activities may include, but are not limited to, vessel and stevedoring companies, shipyards, government agencies, ship brokerage/chartering firms, port authorities, insurance firms, or truck, rail, pipeline, or air carriers. Upon completion of the assignment, each student must submit a written report on the experiences and training received. Management issues are the focal points of the assignment and paper. The internship is only offered during the summer break for a minimum of two weeks.
