Its main focus is the human resources channel of the supply chain, including the primary functions of recruiting, training, and work force maintenance. Within this primary focus, control mechanisms (such as protection of the confidentiality of employee records), labor relations, leadership, organizing, and planning are addressed. Case examples in the maritime and logistics industry will frequently be referenced to enhance course objectives.
