This course will provide a practical understanding of the criminal justice system through examining and role-playing some of the most notorious trials of recent times. Each of those trials and the lead-up to the trials provide an overview of the criminal justice system. Using the facts from those cases and other, students will have the opportunity to play each of the critical roles in the criminal justice system. The student will gather evidence, present evidence, and decide the defendant's fate based on the evidence.
