Exploration of the contemporary theories and philosophies of movement, specifically in the dance genres of modern and jazz.. Also explores personal aesthetics and how to look at dance from a critical writing and oral presentation perspective. The role of the audience as well as the critic will be assessed and students will learn to evaluate content of movement in relation to its intention, motivation, and delivery. Prerequisite: DNCE 122, DNCE 130, DNCE 131, instructor permission. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
