Introduction to Clinical Methods, Ethical Practices and Legal Issues. Methods and materials used in clinical procedures are introduced. Work with graduate students and clients provides introduction to actual procedures and ethical practices. Introduction to ASHA Code of Ethics and legal issues in professional practice including federal and state laws and regulations, funding sources and scope of practice, survey of professional settings for speech and hearing services, including multidisciplinary settings. Note: Allied Health and Education programs require a $20.00 annual fee for insurance. The insurance is $20.00 per academic year and not charged per course. Prerequisite: SPHP 145; Senior status, fulfill requirements under "Admission to supervised clinical practice". Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
