Introduction to scientific research methods, conducting research studies, concepts of statistical significance and power, applications of descriptive and inferential statistics (including linear correlation and regression, t tests, and the general logic of analysis of variance), and writing research reports. Lecture-discussion three hours; laboratory three hours. Prerequisite: Passing score on ELM; PSYC 2, PSYC 4, PSYC 8. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 4.0
