Study of the child from birth through adolescence and the family in the community and acute care settings. Adaptations of the family and appropriate nursing interventions are studied within the context of the well, acutely ill, and chronically ill child. Includes supervised practice in acute care, ambulatory care and community pediatric settings. Lecture three hours; laboratory six hours. Prerequisite: NURS 123, NURS 129, or instructor permission.
