Historical and philosophical bases for adapted physical education, including the development and management of programs with emphasis on the psychomotor, affective and cognitive domains. The impact of federal and state legislation, legal liability and special health and safety problems will be studied in relationship to the role of the adapted physical education teacher, the interdisciplinary team, the parent and the pupil. Prerequisite: GWAR Certification before Fall 09, or WPJ score of 80+, or C or higher grade in ENGL 109M/W, or (C- grade in ENGL 109 M/W or WPJ score 70/71 and ENGL 109X co-requisite).
