Power factor improvement. Three phase Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). AC voltage controllers. SPICE modeling. Strong design emphasis. EMTP modeling. LabView graphics simulation. Microprocessor control of power electronics systems. UPS systems, power supplies, power quality monitoring. Prerequisite: EEE 146; may be taken concurrently. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 1.0
