Introduction to Scientific Methods in Communication Research. Empirical methods commonly applied during communication research. An introduction to the concepts fundamental to the scientific study of communication, including conceptual and operational definitions, sampling, measurement, experimental design, independent and dependent variables, and quantitative data analysis.
