The bioenergetics and regulation of anaerobic and aerobic metabolic pathways. Major topics include glycolysis, Kreb's cycle, fatty acid and amino acid oxidation, lipid biosynthesis and photosynthesis. Particular emphasis is given to pathway regulation and integration. Lecture three hours. Prerequisite: CHEM 160A or equivalent course; one year of organic chemistry. Spring only. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
