Instruction in the processes of writing well-organized essays and in the necessary critical thinking that precedes such writing. When necessary, the principles of grammar will be reviewed. Prerequisite: A minimal score of 19 on the ACT English test or 74 on the Compass Writing Test and a minimum score of 19 on the ACT Reading Test or 80 on the Compass Reading Test.
