Prerequisites / Corequisite Corequisite: RNSG 1115 Introduction to selected concepts related to the role of the professional nurse as a provider of care, coordinator of care and member of the profession. Review of trends and issues impacting nursing and health care today and in the future. Topics include knowledge, judgment, skill and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Critical thinking and nursing process will be used as a framework to develop care for medical-surgical and childbearing families. This course lends itself to a blocked approach.
