Prerequisite: COMD 220 and COMD 281 or COMD 282; and COMD 294 This course is a study of normal and abnormal phonology and articulation, including etiology, prevention, diagnosis, assessment, cultural differences and treatment of phonology and articulation disorders. Use of distinctive feature theory, phonological process analysis and traditional phonetic approaches will be covered. Fall semester.
