Prerequisite: MATH 251 Solution of algebraic and transcendental equations, general iteration method, Newton-Raphson method. Approximation of functions and curve fitting, Lagrange interpolation formula, Newton’s forward difference method, method of least squares, orthogonality, numerical integration and Euler-Cauchy technique. May be taken for graduate-level credit.
