Prerequisite: PSYC 100; consent of the department; formal application required Directed study is open to juniors and seniors who have demonstrated critical and analytical abilities in their studies and who wish to pursue a project independently. May be taken twice for a maximum of six credits. No more than six hours of any combination PSYC 497, PSYC 498, or PSYC 499 may be counted toward the first 33 hours in the psychology requirements for a major.
