This course supports the Albany State College of Education Conceptual Framework model by helping student develop a lifelong love of learning. It is designed to give prospective teachers of middle grade students the knowledge and skills necessary to assist youth in becoming effective n their use of the English language and in becoming wise decision makers and responsible citizens in our democratic socitey. As such, the course is an overview of the principles, practices, and materials used in combining language arts and social studies. Additionally, it offers prospective teachers the opportunity to assist certified teachers inthe public schools.
