This is a seminar course designed to provide the opportunity seminar participants to analyze the subject of family dynamics as a social issue and to explore policy implications. Using a family system, multi- generational, and developmental framework the seminar will explore challenges faced by contemporary families as they move through the life course. A social systems approac to the family and its diversity will be utilized. Students must take prerequisite before taking this course which is required a the junior level.
