This course is designed to familiarize students with the United States court system and our system of justice as implemented through the civil and criminal procedures. The course will examine and assess the interdependence of our judiciary, and the role that politics and public policy play. Federal and state court structures will be be examined; including appelate, lower and juvenile courts, and students will familiarize themselves including appellate, lower and juvenile courts, and students will familiarize themselves with the various judical, legal, and political personnel who impact our courts.
