Description:
This course provides a review of major federal court cases impacting correctional processes and procedures. Emphasis is given to Supreme Court decisions relating to prisoner rights under the first, fourth, fifth, eighth and four- teenth amendments of the Constitution. Also, an analysis of the "hands on doctrine" as it relates to judicial intervention will be included. Prerequisites: CRJU 1100 and CRJU 2500.
