Prerequisite(s): ML 102 or two years of high school French or departmental permission Designed to reactivate and build upon knowledge gained through previous language study. Accentuates the basic communication skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, develops cultural understanding, and reviews the grammar necessary to support and develop these communication skills. Assignments and class work focus upon creative conversation activities, contemporary audio- and videotape programs, guided practice of specific grammatical structures, especially selected films and basic readings exploring diversity in French and Francophone cultures.
