Prerequisites / Corequisite Prerequisites: RNSG 1209 and RNSG 1105 Corequisite: RNSG 1331 Introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions, adverse effects and nursing implications of each drug classification. Topics include the roles and responsibilities of the nurse in safe administration of medications within a legal/ethical framework. Critical thinking is used to identify and respond to clinical situations requiring drug interventions. This course lends itself to either a blocked or integrated approach.
