Prerequisite: PHED 205; and PHED 212 or PHED 225; and admission to the Professional Education Program This course will focus on teaching and curriculum development for physical education in the middle and junior high school. Emphasis will be placed on important trends in our society and an understanding of what physical education can and should mean to the education of transadolescents. Teaching concepts as well as equity issues, comprehensive curriculum planning and evaluation will be studied. Fall semester.
