This course is intended to provide pre-service teachers with the principles and techniques necessary to develop sound instructional lesson plans and assessments. The primary focus of the course will be on assessment techniques, administering classroom evaluations, analyzing classroom assessment data, and describing the roles planning and assessment have in daily classroom practice. The use and interpretation of standardized tests will also be discussed, as well as ethical issues related to assessment.
