Description:
This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply the basic principles of HIT 100 and HIT 230 to the acute care setting. Opportunities will be provided for the student to identify methods of data collection, application of HIM principles, patient records storage, data analysis, and patient confidentiality practices. The student will acquire the basic skills demonstrated by file clerks, chart assemblers, chart analysts and correspondence clerks upon successful completion of this practical experience.
