Description:

Under direct supervision of a Health Information Management instructor, the student experiences day to day operations in chart assembly, analysis, abstracting, filing/retrieval, coding, data access, confidentiality, medicolegal issues and management applications. Practicum III is a comprehensive experience which takes place in the acute care environment. Upon successful completion of this final practical experience the student will have the skills to function in an entry level HIM professional position.
