Description:

This course is designed to provide beginning pipefitting students with fundamental knowledge of the use and care of tools necessary for the performance of trade responsibility. Special emphasis is given to the importance of recognizing job safety and health hazards. Topics include soldering and brazing, pressure gauge readings, regulation, adjustment and sizing of pipes, meters, values, strainers, regulators and related components. Students must register for a lecture and laboratory section.
