Description:
This course deals with the fundamentals of air conditioning service. Students test, repair, and troubleshoot window air conditioners and residential and commercial systems. Topics covered include properties of air psychrometry, the psychrometric chart, piping of residential and commercial systems and controls in air conditioning. Students become familiar with proper air distribution, wiring of low voltage thermostats and proper procedures in both residential and commercial air conditioning. Students must register for a lecture and laboratory section.
