This course focuses on the body's adaptation to various disease processes across the life span. Students will review normal physiology with emphasis on alterations of normal anatomy and physiology as a result of disease processes. The effect on disease processes on all body systems, along with a brief discussion of various treatment modalities, is included. The role of the immune system and inflammatory process in response to disease stimuli is detailed.
