This course provides training in diagnosing trouble in repairing, replacing and servicing all electrical or mechanical components of major appliances, such as electric ranges, electric water heaters, dishwashers, disposals, etc. Electrical circuits and diagrams, electrical codes and ratings in current or watts as applied to appliances are studied. Students become familiar with the basic operations and develop skills in making repairs and servicing of major appliances. Students must register for a lecture and laboratory section.
