The course looks at the spatial dimensions of economics with major emphasis on where economic activity takes place and why. Theories and methods of regional analysis and regional programs will be stressed with reference to selected regions in the U.S. and elsewhere. A major part of this class will be a major research project, paper, and presentations by students on a selected region. Research presentations and discussions will be a regular feature of the class.
