Poets include Phillis Wheatley, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Claude McKay, Langston Hughes, Robert Hayden, Gwendolyn Brooks, LeRoi Jones, Audre Lorde, Michael Harper, Yusef Komunyakaa, and Rita Dove.
