First semester of a university-level modern chemistry for science students. Topics include unit analysis, properties of matter, reactions in solutions, stiochiometry,thermodynamics, gas laws, basic atomic structure, and chemical bonding. Three hours of lab experience per week. Course Information: Prerequisite: High school chemistry, MAT 094 or appropriate placement score.
