Contemporary theory and practice covering topics important to the advanced accounting complexities of business and financial reporting. Topics include business combinations with application of the principles of measurement and realization in consolidations, intercompany transactions, takeovers, and poolings of interest. Foreign currency transactions, estates and trusts, debt restructuring, corporate reorganizations, and liquidations will be analyzed. Emphasis is on evaluation and presentation. Prerequisite: BUS 320; co-requisite: BUS 323.
