A study of the organic chemistry of the molecular components of cells including proteins, enzymes (kinetics and mechanisms), carbohydrates, and lipids. The metabolism of these constituents, including glycolysis, Krebs cycle and electron transport, and energy transformations involved in these pathways will also be discussed. BIO 307L Laboratory required. Prerequisite: CHM 202, 202L. Fall
