Theatre 125 focuses on teaching specific critical thinking skills using illustrations from theatre and dramatic theory. This course instructs the student in critical reading, listening and viewing of play texts, productions, dramatic theory and criticism. It prepares students to read and view all genres of theatre with a more critical view. This view is obtained from an examination of the major critical statements from the past, which have helped to shape the drama of contemporary theatre, whether it be live theatre, television or movies. The course helps students to improve their ability to look at theatre with a more discerning and critical eye. Fl-3-
