Employment Law examines the relationship between public policy and current human resource management practices. Major emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of the content of personnel law, its enforcement, and its day to day application. Topics investigated will be selected from among the following: employment discrimination law, wage and salary legislation, state unemployment law, workers' compensation law, privacy issues, employment-at-will, and common-law employment issues.
