This course is designed to build on the knowledge acquired in phlebotomy lecture and lab. In this course the student will use external institutions for clinical experience to become more proficient in the performance of routine venipuncture and dermal collections. The student will gain the experience needed to handle routine venipuncture complications and the skills necessary to adequately perform the duties of a phlebotomist. Prerequisite: PHB 151 Phlebotomy for the Healthcare Professional or PHB 100 Phlebotomy. Clinical: 2-3 credits (120 contact hours).
