Group dynamics and the role of the occupational therapy assistant in planning an occupational therapy treatment group are introduced and practiced in this course. Training and practice in interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with clients, families, significant others, other health care professionals and the public will be provided. Lecture: 1hr; Laboratory: 3 hrs. Prerequisite: Admission to OTA program and permission of instructor.
