Describes the architecture, components, and operation of routers, and explains the principles of routing and routing protocols. Provides students with the opportunity to analyze, configure, verify and troubleshoot the primary routing protocols RIPv1, RIPv2, EIGRP, and OSPF. Includes how to recognize and correct common routing issues and problems. Prerequisite: (IT 120 or (IT 121 and IT 123)) or Consent of Instructor. Lecture: 4 credits (60 contact hours).
