Ethical issues as they relate to the security and dissemination of patient health information and corporate compliance programs. Prerequisite: Admission to the Health Information Technology Program or Medical Record Coding Certificate Program or by special permission of the Program Coordinator and (CPU 150 or OST 105 or CIS 100) and ((BIO 139 and HIT 100 and HIT 102 and HIT 104 and HIT 106) with a grade of C or better). Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours).
