This is a content and methods course that reviews the broad body of children?s literature that is available for teachers to use in their K-8 classrooms. Emphasis is placed on looking at literature that teaches a positive worldview and helps elementary students understand a variety of contemporary social issues. Methods of integrating children?s literature across the curriculum are explored. Concurrent enrollment in ED 200, ED203 and ED206 required for Sophomore Block. Pre-requisite: ED 120 or ED 130.
