This course will examine the basics of training design for personal fitness and athletic enhancement. Main topics are applied anatomy and physiology, testing and evaluation, exercise techniques, and program design. Students who complete this course will have sufficient knowledge to pursue a certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Offered fall semester. Required for Athletic Training and Fitness and Sport majors. Open to all students.
