Description:
Biology 105 is designed as a first course in biology for biology majors. It concentrates on the biology of whole organisms at the population, community, and ecosystem level. We will focus on the process of science and on evolution as an underlying theme. Student presentations and discussion are an integral part of the course. You must be present and prepared for each class in order to participate adequately. You will be asked to think critically and to integrate concepts rather than memorize and regurgitate. All students should be co-enrolled in BI 155, laboratory.
