Prerequisites: junior standing, SOWK 200; PSYC 101; NTSC 103 or equivalent; or chair's permission. This course exams socio-cultural, biological diversity, and psychological elements as an integral part of the knowledge base necessary for working with people. Students will understand how social systems theory explains social functioning, the effects of systems of all sizes on human interaction, and how these apply to social work practice.
