Prerequisite: ANTH 101 or ANTH 104. Specific theoretical, methodological, and research problems in archaeology with focus on current research in the discipline. Topics include but are not restricted to: environmental archaeology; ethnoarchaeology and experimental archaeology; the study of prehistoric craft specialization, trade, demography, and urbanism. Outcome: Students will be able to draw connections between contemporary archaeological method and theory and current research issues in anthropology.
